The board game Squadro Classic holds a special place among Gigamic's modern abstract classics. The objective is to be the first to move at least four of your five pieces to the opposite side of the board and back to your starting base. But beware—blocking your opponent not only sends your piece back to its starting base but can also grant your opponent bonus moves!
In this game, each player begins with five pieces in their base on their side of the board. During their turn, players move one piece forward according to the distance indicated by its starting base. Once a piece reaches the opposite side of the board, it is turned around and begins its return journey. If a piece lands on a space occupied by an opponent's piece, it jumps over it and stops at the next empty space. The jumped piece is sent back to its last starting base, while your piece gains a bonus move of one additional space.
While moving a piece forward may sometimes seem risky, strategic positioning can significantly limit your opponent's options and give you extra moves. Don’t hesitate to take bold steps—every piece holds the potential to secure your victory!
