The "shufflebuilding" board game Smash Up! has a simple premise: Take two decks of different factions, shuffle them together into a 40-card deck, and then compete for bases that grant victory points. Each faction brings a different mechanic to the game—pirates move cards from base to base, zombies return cards from the discard pile, dinosaurs have massive attack power—and every new combination of factions delivers a fresh gameplay experience.
During the game, bases (with their own points and abilities) are in play. You must attempt to have the highest power on a base with your minions. Sounds easy? It isn't quite so simple when your opponent’s Alien-Ninja deck teleports all your minions to other bases. Or, if your opponent plays a Wizard-Zombie deck and uses mystical power to summon all their zombies to your base.
When a base reaches a certain power level, it is "broken," and the top three players receive a specific number of points. With eight different factions, Smash Up! will provide you with dozens of fun combinations!
