The most talented architects are preparing to showcase their skills and secure the title of the most beautiful and wealthiest polis for their city.

The board game Akropolis allows players to step into the role of a chief architect of a polis, ensuring its splendor by building the most magnificent structures the world has ever seen. To succeed in this challenging endeavor, players must construct houses, temples, markets, and other buildings that enhance the beauty and appeal of their city. Remember, only through harmonious planning can you secure the splendor and grandeur your city deserves and triumph over the others! How is Akropolis played?
Each player starts with a central tile for their city, and throughout the game, they collect and place new tiles from a shared supply. These tiles feature different types of buildings (houses, temples, markets, barracks, and gardens), each with specific scoring rules. Players use stone (the in-game currency) to purchase tiles from the supply, strategically placing them to expand their city or build upwards for additional bonuses.
Each building type scores points only if certain conditions are met. For example, houses must be grouped together, while temples score points only if completely surrounded by other tiles. Gardens score points without additional conditions but are worth more if placed on higher levels. Along with carefully positioning buildings, players must strategically allocate stars (which multiply the total score for a particular building type) to maximize their points.
At the end of the game, players tally points for each building type and add bonuses for strategic placement on higher levels. The winner is the architect whose polis achieves the highest score!
