Are you ready to bring a touch of magic—and a great deal of danger—to your peaceful landscapes? The third major expansion for the award-winning Carcassonne takes you straight into a fantasy realm where dragons circle the skies and fairies guard your subjects.
Life for your followers (meeples) will never be the same! This expansion introduces a powerful large wooden dragon that can devour anyone in its path:

• Volcanoes: When you draw a volcano tile, the dragon immediately swoops down onto it.
• Dragon Attack: Through special dragon nest tiles, the dragon moves across the board "eating" followers and sending them back to the players' hands. Mastering the dragon’s movement becomes a key strategy to weaken your rivals!

While the dragon is terrifying, you are not left entirely defenseless. The ancient fairy is there to provide much-needed aid. The fairy protects the tile she is on from any dragon attack. If the fairy remains with your follower until the next scoring, she grants you extra points!
New tiles allow you to place your follower on any previously placed, unoccupied tile, giving you incredible tactical flexibility.
In the cities, the princess seeks help from her knights. Princess tiles allow you to "evict" an opponent’s knight from a city, paving the way for you to take control. Meanwhile, farmers are building secret passages to move undetected beneath the dragon’s watchful eye.

It is time for an epic struggle!
