Your mission is to roam its vast expanses in search of its secrets, meet its unusual inhabitants, and list its wonders, all to gain more renown than your opponents!
Faraway is a card game of exploration and strategy that combines simultaneous play with deep tactical decisions. Throughout the game, you will play a row of eight cards in front of you, from left to right. These cards represent the regions you will encounter during your exploration. Characters on these cards will grant you victory points, but only if you later fulfill the conditions they demand.
At the end of the game, you walk back the same way, but you score points from cards in the reverse order of how you played them. This is precisely where the essence of the strategy lies! Throughout the game, the cards you play serve a dual purpose: they set new objectives, but also fulfill those you played previously. You must carefully plan each step, anticipating how your current decision will affect future scoring opportunities.
