The board game Dice Hospital is a game for 1–4 players in which you try to manage your own hospital and patients as best you can... if you can.
So, each player controls a different hospital that receives patients from ambulance vehicles. Patients, represented by multi-colored dice, will need to be cured using various hospital wards and staff until they are discharged from the hospital. In each round, players will score points for every patient they discharge.
Each player will receive their own hospital in the form of a player board that contains different wards in the shape of hexagonal tiles. Players will randomly draw 3 dice from a bag representing patients, while the numbers on the dice represent the severity of the case; the higher the number—the better the patient feels! The number of ambulances from which we receive patients is placed in the middle of the table, depending on the number of players. One of the players will draw a number of patients equal to the total number of spaces in the ambulances and, in 3 rolls, will try to get the highest numbers possible (which is logical because the better the patient feels—the less work there is) to place them in the vehicle. The ambulances with the most severe cases are those containing the lowest numbers on the dice, so whoever chooses to take patients from them plays first. During a turn, players can expand their hospital by adding new wards, but they can also hire new specialists such as an orthopedist, virologist, radiologist... Each ward and specialist has a designated patient treatment protocol, as well as the patients they can admit. Also, during a turn, you must move nurses and doctors from ward to ward to treat patients. Every time a patient is treated, the number of the die they represent increases by a certain number, and they are considered fully cured when they reach the number 7—at which point they are ready to leave the hospital. Patients who are not treated have their number reduced by $-1$ each time. Players must be careful not to reach zero because that means buying new body bags for the morgue, which of course brings negative points!
Finally, the player with the most points from discharged patients—minus any fatalities—is declared the winner!
