In the Footsteps of Darwin – Become Charles Darwin’s Right-Hand Researcher!

Twenty years after his legendary expedition around the world, Charles Darwin is writing his masterpiece: On the Origin of Species. To finish the book, he needs fresh information about animal life, particularly from continents he hardly explored. Who better to help the renowned scholar than young naturalists eager for discovery?
In the game In the Footsteps of Darwin, you are junior researchers who have just arrived aboard the HMS Beagle to help Darwin complete his life's work. Your mission is to study animals, carry out cartographic surveys, publish your findings, and develop theories that will change the world!
The gameplay is fast, intuitive, and strategically rewarding. Every turn consists of two simple yet vital steps:

1. Study and Inspiration: Choose one of the three available tiles facing the Beagle. This could be a fascinating animal to record in your naturalist’s notebook or a character from the Beagle’s previous journey who will inspire you with their expertise. Placing these tiles triggers immediate bonuses or long-term scoring opportunities.
2. The Voyage of the Beagle: After selecting a tile, move the Beagle forward a number of spaces equal to the distance of the tile you just took (1–3 spaces). This choice is crucial, as it directly determines which options are available to the next player!
