The board game KATAMINO FAMILY is the latest educational game in the Katamino series, designed exclusively for the youngest players.
The challenges in this game are adapted for ages 3 to 7. It can be played in solo mode (one player), but also offers the option for two players of similar or the same age. In the two-player variant for players of the same age, both players solve tasks (problems) of equal difficulty. If two players of different ages play, the task for the younger player will be simpler, while the older player will have a more difficult task. The creators have worked to create a balance so that the difficulty of the task is comparable even when players are not of the same age.
The educational game Katamino Family is a logic game that helps children understand basic geometric concepts and how to meaningfully arrange them, all through play. The game has achieved its goal if it sparks a child's interest without the child even realizing the game is stimulating something.
With around 180 tasks of various levels and an almost unlimited number of combinations, the educational game Katamino Family provides players with a real challenge for long-term play. Once you start solving the tasks, you won't put it down, because there's always a tougher challenge to solve; the only question is whether you're up to it.
When you outgrow the game (not when you solve all the tasks, as that scenario is quite a bit harder), Katamino Family has its older sibling, the educational game Katamino. Unlike Katamino Family, Katamino is intended for older players (8+) and offers more than 500 tasks and over 35,000 solutions for them (one task doesn't have just one solution).
