The board game Scout is a card game with a very simple goal: be the first to get rid of all your cards to avoid negative points and collect as many victory points as possible. The cards are unique in that they have different numbers on both the top and bottom. When a hand is dealt, you must pick up your cards without changing their order! The numbers on the bottom are not visible, but they are written below the number on the top. At the start of a round, if you don't like your hand, you can flip the cards 180 degrees, keeping them in the same order, but using the bottom numbers instead. On your turn, you can play cards from your hand to form a set of two or more of the same numbers, or a run of consecutive numbers. The catch is that you can't reorder the cards in your hand to form the set. Also, each time you play a set of cards, it must be better than the previous one played. Alternatively, on your turn, you can "scout" a card from the central deck to get what you need (if you're lucky). The player who, through a series of thoughtful actions, collects the most points is the winner!
