The board game Ticket to Ride, as well as the board game Ticket to Ride Europe, have received yet another expansion. The Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 2 – India & Switzerland expansion offers you two new scenarios:
Embark on Ian Vincent’s tour of India and discover one of the most densely populated yet most colorful countries in the world! The year is 1911, and the world is changing at lightning speed under British rule. Will you complete the grand tour in time, or will you lose to cleverer or simply better-connected opponents?! On this game board, designed for 2 to 4 players, in addition to scoring points for claiming route sections and completing entire routes, a player can also score points in two other ways. First, the player with the longest continuous train route receives a ten-point bonus. Second, each player receives bonus points for connecting cities on one or more Route cards with two different routes. The first two such Route cards bring five additional points each, and the next three bring ten points for a maximum bonus of 40 points.
This expansion also features Alan R. Moon’s brilliant Switzerland map, specially designed for 2 and 3 players and celebrated as Ticket to Ride online! Discover Switzerland’s challenging geography with green valleys and mountain passes, as well as the picturesque forests of neighboring countries. On this board, in addition to connecting cities, you now also connect neighboring countries to Switzerland, and connecting such routes brings points in a unique new way. Unlike most games in the Ticket to Ride series, discarded Route cards are removed from the game instead of being returned to the Route card deck. And another innovation is that Locomotives can be used to build Tunnels.
Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 2 – India & Switzerland is not a standalone game and cannot be played without one of the basic games: the board game Ticket to Ride or the board game Ticket to Ride Europe.
