Players take on the role of ornithologists—bird lovers and researchers—who want to find and attract the best birds for their preserve. However, that is easier said than done. Each bird is unique and requires a lot of care and attention, as well as a specific type of food. Feeding them allows you to keep your birds in the preserve and to acquire new ones. Some birds will lay eggs that will remain in the habitat, thus expanding your flock. If you want even more species at your disposal, you can find them in the Wingspan European and Wingspan Oceania expansions.
