Following one of the most popular social party games, Codenames, comes the Disney variant, featuring your favorite cartoon characters!
Like other Codenames games, Codenames Disney divides players into two teams – red and blue. Each team chooses a captain who will give clues to their team. Captains select one of the setup tiles and arrange the illustration cards in a 5x5 grid according to it. The setup card indicates the red and blue team agents. Captains must use one clue and a number to explain to their teammates which illustrations hide their agents.
Players must be careful because an assassin is also on the board. Captains know which illustration hides the assassin, so they must avoid clues that would cause their team to make a mistake. If one of the teams finds the assassin, that team immediately loses the game. Using their imagination, captains must figure out how to connect multiple concepts with a single clue so their teammates can find the hidden agents as quickly as possible. The first team to do so wins.
This excellent board game is designed for 4 to 8 players in two teams, but it can also be played with an odd number of people, or even as a 2-player variant.
