You have opened your eyes and discovered the most terrifying truth of your life... It’s the end for you, and now you are a spirit floating in the air! Terrified, you look down at your body. A group of strange individuals has gathered around your remains, observing them intently with sparks of fascination in their eyes. They want to communicate with you to uncover how your life ended. You must speak with them and reveal the truth to find the culprit and bring them to justice!

The board game Paranormal Detectives (Paranormalni Detektivi in Serbian) is a fun deduction game. One player takes on the role of the ghost. All other players act as paranormal detectives, aiming to discover how the victim died. Using their paranormal abilities, they will communicate with the ghost, asking direct questions about the details of the crime. The ghost will respond in various eerie ways—arranging the noose knot, playing selected tarot cards, forming a word puzzle on a talking board, drawing while holding the detective’s hand, and much more!
At the beginning of the game, the player in the role of the ghost receives a story card with a complete description of the murder. Each card displays all the details of the case. Each detective receives an asymmetrical, pre-made set of interactive cards, a player investigation sheet, and a player screen.
On their turn, each detective asks the ghost an open-ended question of their choice and plays one interaction card. The card determines how the ghost can respond to the question. There are nine different interactions in total, most of which provide information to all detectives. Since detectives can ask any open-ended questions and interaction cards vary, the game allows plenty of creativity for both the ghost and the paranormal detectives.
During the game, detectives can attempt, twice, to guess what actually happened to the victim by naming who the culprit is, where it happened, the motive, how it was done, and the weapon used. The ghost then secretly notes on the detective’s investigation sheet how many of their answers are correct.
The game can end in two ways:

• If a detective gives all correct answers. In this case, everyone wins, including the ghost.
• If all detectives run out of interaction cards. In this case, if no one has guessed everything correctly, the player who guessed the most details accurately is the sole winner.
