The board game Trial by Trolley is a fun and slightly morbid game in which players take turns acting as the driver of a trolley whose brakes have failed. Players are divided into teams, and the goal of each team is to try to convince the driver to make the 'right' decision and divert the runaway trolley onto the opposing track. To make the decision harder or easier to make, something must be placed on the track that the driver will not want to run over. Is it a pool full of small children, or the person who invented the cure for a disease, or an ongoing parent-teacher meeting... you get the idea. Both teams must place something irresistible and something that cannot be run over on their/the opponent's section of the track. The choice is, of course, always very difficult—or maybe it isn't! It depends on the company, but perhaps also on the person. You might get to know your friends and their inclinations a little better through this board game, though perhaps you didn't want to.
