In the card game Yogi, it’s all about your body’s flexibility and agility. Winning might not require you to bend like a pretzel, but it would certainly help if you’re better at it than everyone else. If you’ve practiced yoga, you’ll likely have a slight advantage.
On their turn, each player must draw and reveal a card from the top of the deck. If the card is orange, the player must place it somewhere on their body and hold it according to the instructions on the card. If the card is green, it stays on the table, but the player must perform the action specified on it, such as keeping their thumb on their chin, their hands touching, or one hand above their shoulder. The moment a player is unable to meet the requirements of all their cards, they’re out of the game.
If you’re wondering how this might look, here’s a little illustration: one card is on your right palm, your left elbow is above your shoulder, while your right elbow touches your torso. Meanwhile, one finger is touching your chin, another card is covering one eye, and it’s your turn to draw a new card. I believe you now have a good sense of the “knot” that the board game Yogi can twist you into.
