At its core, the board game 7 Wonders is a civilization-building game played with cards. Some structures you play have immediate effects, while others provide bonuses or upgrades later in the game. Certain buildings offer discounts on future purchases, while others provide military strength for warfare with your neighbors. Some have no immediate effect but grant victory points at the end of the game. In this game, every card is played immediately, so you will always know what choices your neighbors are making and how those choices impact what you have already built.
