Welcome to a world where survival is measured by efficiency and dominance by the strength of the swarm. Ants is a deep strategy game focused on worker management and territorial expansion. Every game starts with a unique Queen tile, which will heavily influence your strategy and how your insect empire evolves.
The heart of the game is your incubation board. Track your colony through three vital phases—from eggs and larvae to fully grown ants. Specialize your workers as diggers, explorers, or gatherers to optimize your efficiency. Perform one of six main actions (Dig, Explore, Gather, Incubate, Play Cards, or Defeat Enemies). The strength of your action is determined by the number of ants (1 to 4) you commit, making every decision a tactical trade-off. Place room tiles strategically to complete entire nest areas. Achieving architectural mastery rewards you with precious stars, a primary source of victory points.
The garden map is ever-changing. Reveal resources and enemies as you explore, while your gatherers create supply chains that automatically collect resources and emit pheromones across the ecosystem. Will you lead through architectural brilliance, territorial control, demographic growth, or tactical combat? Multiple viable strategies ensure high replayability.
