Ark Nova: Marine Worlds – Discover the Depths of the Ocean!

The first major expansion for one of the most popular board games in the world has arrived! Ark Nova: Marine Worlds introduces the marine kingdom to your modern zoo, bringing brand-new strategies, beautiful components, and sea animals that will transform the way you play.
This expansion is more than just an aesthetic addition; it introduces deep changes to the game mechanics. New marine creatures are introduced, each requiring special new enclosures that must be built adjacent to water. Roughly half of the sea animals are reef dwellers. Every time you add a new reef dweller to your zoo, you trigger the abilities of all reef dwellers already in your collection! To keep the deck dynamic, all sea cards feature a wave icon. Whenever it is revealed in the display, the first card in the row is discarded and replenished, ensuring a faster flow of cards. A new fourth university is available on the association board. Taking it allows you to claim one of six special universities, granting you a specific animal icon and a matching card directly from the deck. Each of the five standard action cards now has four alternate versions with a "twist." Players draft these at the start of the game, replacing two of their standard cards to increase asymmetry and unique playstyles.
