A group of like-minded cryptozoologists has gathered to finally discover the elusive creature, but the glory that comes with the discovery is too great to be shared with others! You must find a balance in revealing information because if you don't reveal enough, you will never manage to locate the beast, but if you reveal too much, your name will be quickly forgotten, and the glory that accompanies the discovery will be taken from you!
The board game Cryptid is a unique game of deduction and misdirection in which players must try to uncover information about their opponents' clues while simultaneously attempting to mislead them. Each player holds one piece of evidence that will help them find the creature, and on their turn, they can try to obtain more information from their opponents. You have been warned: if you reveal too much, your opponents might be faster than you and discover the mysterious animal and claim all the glory for themselves!
The game includes a modular board, five clue books, and a deck of cards with hundreds of possible setups across two difficulty levels. It is also supported by a completely optional digital companion, allowing for faster game setup and a virtually infinite array of puzzles.
