The board game Fort is a card game for 2–4 players in which you have the opportunity to build forts and forge friendships through "child's play." The aesthetics of the characters and the cards themselves are highly reminiscent of the cartoon Ed, Edd n Eddy, which perfectly captures how children can be both strange and intriguing at the same time. So, in this board game, you are a kid! And like any other kid, the only things on your mind are expanding your circle of friends, grabbing a ton of pizza and toys, and building the coolest fort in the neighborhood. Naturally, by doing these cool things, you will earn points, and at the end of the game, the player with the most points is the winner!
Fort is a deck-building game, however—your cards not only allow you to take actions on your own turn but also offer you the option to follow other players' actions on their turns and "copy" them. Logically, kids will copy kids. So, why is this important? What happens when you ignore your friends, both in real life and in the world of Fort? They look for other friends to play with. Will you stay dedicated to your own crew, or will you copy what the other kids are doing? Be careful—if you don't use all the cards in your hand, other players will get the chance to snatch them up. After all, if you don't play with your friends, why would they hang out with you anymore?
