2212: Ginkgo biloba, the oldest and strongest tree in the world, has become the symbol of a new method of building cities in symbiosis with nature. Humans have exhausted the resources Earth offered, and humanity must now develop cities that maintain a delicate balance between production and resource consumption. However, living space is scarce, and humanity must now face the challenge of upward construction. To develop this new type of city, you will gather a team of experts around you and strive to become the best urban planner for Ginkgopolis!
The board game Ginkgopolis casts you and your friends in the roles of urban planners, building and managing city structures to earn as many points as possible. In each turn, every player simultaneously chooses a card from their hand. Players reveal these cards, either adding new tiles to the city limits at the corresponding location or placing tiles on top of existing ones. Every card in your hand that you do not play is passed to your neighbor on the left, so keep in mind how your playstyle might work in their favor! When you add a new tile to the city, you take a "booster" card of the same color, which grants you additional abilities during the game, allowing you to increase your building capacity as well as your point-scoring efforts. At the end of the game, the player who has collected the most points wins!
