The board game Ierusalem: Anno Domini is set in Jerusalem in the spring of 33 AD, where a multitude of people gather at the city gates to welcome Jesus of Nazareth as he prepares to celebrate the Passover meal with his apostles and followers. Players represent one of the communities of followers of Jesus who, arriving in Jerusalem from nearby towns and villages, want to approach the site of the Last Supper and position themselves as close as possible to Jesus and his apostles. The closer they are, the more points they receive at the end of the game. They also collect points for offered tokens and parable tiles.
The game's key mechanics include hand management and worker placement. Each card has a symbol corresponding to one of the five key locations in the game. By combining cards, players can bring apostles to the Last Supper table. The optimal placement of followers around Jesus and the apostles is also carried out through card management, as well as via various resources available to the players.
The game was designed by Carmen García Jiménez, with artwork by Enrique Corominas and La Draws.
