In the board game Le Havre, each player has their own ship that sails from port to port, collecting resources. Each port contains one of eight different resources, such as money, fish, coal, steel, and more. Alongside the ports are various buildings that allow for the trading and upgrading of resources.
On their turn, players move their ships to a specific port. Then, players can either take all the resources located at that spot or use one of the buildings. Players can purchase buildings; if other players want to use the bonus your building provides, they must first pay you a usage fee. Players must also look after their crew, as they must be fed at the end of every round.
Through collecting and exchanging resources, players strive to earn the most money. The buildings you have purchased provide additional wealth at the end of the game, but sometimes you may find yourself short on cash for other needs, requiring you to sell a building to recoup funds. After a set number of rounds, the player with the most money is the winner.
