The board game Radlands (in Serbian) is a competitive, two-player card game with a post-apocalyptic theme, in which you struggle frantically to protect your three camps from your opponent. Naturally, you are simultaneously trying to destroy your opponent's three camps to win the game.
When it comes to Radlands, it must be noted that no one is immune to the striking card design, featuring such bold use of vibrant colors and cyberpunk-style illustrations. However, beyond the aesthetics, as easy as it is to learn, this game is strategically very demanding. You are the leader of your post-apocalyptic group, doing everything to protect your camps. To succeed, you will be forced to spend the primary resource in this game, which is—believe it or not—water. By spending water supplies, you can activate characters or events by drawing cards from a shared deck. Every card, whether a character or an event, has its own special effects that will help you defend, attack, collect more water, heal the wounded... and much more. If a character is wounded, you can no longer use their effects. Even worse, if the opponent attacks a wounded character again, that card is removed from the game, and the opponent gets closer to your camp. You must be careful because characters protect your camps and provide useful abilities, while events are powerful effects that take time to pay off. All cards you draw can be played, but they can also be discarded for "junk" effects—which is useful, as it costs nothing to do and can provide an effect you might desperately need at that exact moment.
Thanks to the variety of camps and characters, this game can be played countless times, and every session will feel different due to the synergy of effects. You will likely find yourself thinking, "Oh, maybe I should have done this instead of that...", so you will have to manage your cards and water wisely to emerge victorious.
