The board game Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition is a strategic game in which players control interplanetary corporations tasked with making Mars habitable while also making it highly profitable. You will attempt to achieve this goal by investing in various projects that will directly or indirectly impact your ultimate and singular objective: to settle Mars. The game is played over several rounds, and in each round, players choose one of five phases that will determine which opportunities everyone will have during that round. This essentially means that every round is completely different, and how you manage depends entirely on you! The game lasts until you secure enough conditions for life—specifically, until oxygen reaches 14%, there is as much water as on Earth, and the temperature does not drop below 8°C.
