In this expansion for the base game Tzolk’in: The Mayan Calendar, each player now becomes the leader of a specific tribe; each tribe possesses unique special abilities that only that leader can use. This expansion includes a total of 13 tribes to provide players with a wider variety of choices.
With this expansion, the base game introduces three prophecies that are revealed early on and will come to pass when the time is right. These prophecies provide players with more opportunities to gain points, but also to lose them if they are not prepared for the resulting effects. Alongside the 13 tribes, this expansion also contains 13 prophecies.
This expansion also includes new buildings and components that allow for a fifth player to join the game.
