Build your galactic empire. In the depths of space, alien races are vying for control of the galaxy. Alliances are formed and change from moment to moment as spaceships conquer planets. Choose one of 50 alien races, each with its own unique power, and conquer opposing planets.
The board game Cosmic Encounter is a game of conquest and negotiation, where each player leads their own space empire with the goal of establishing colonies on planets. At the start of the game, each player receives an alien race card, 5 starting planets, and an army of spaceships on them. On their turn, players can declare an attack on one of their opponents' planets. After the declaration, other players can jump in to help either side. The battle is fought using the number of spaceships and attack cards. Players can also make an agreement to call off an attack, but nothing guarantees that the other side will stick to your deal :). If the attacker defeats the planet's defender, they destroy all opposing ships and place their own on that planet, thus establishing a colony. To win the game, players must create 5 colonies on other planets. The flow of the game can be changed by cards or the special powers of each race. The Warrior race gains experience points whenever it enters combat and uses them to add attack strength to its ships. The Parasite race can multiply its ships. The Filch race can steal opponents' cards, and there are other races with a multitude of other abilities. Which one will you choose to win?
