The Cosmic Citizen Council has announced that they will allow two new alien species to join their ranks, but they forgot to make two copies of the application form—meaning only one species can join! Now, the two candidates must battle for control of planets to determine who deserves the right to become a certified civilization.
Cosmic Encounter Duel is a competitive two-player game set in the Cosmic Encounter universe, where you and your closest (un)friend race to be the first to establish control over five planets. The winner is whoever achieves this first. Since you play as an entire alien species, you'll have a wide array of unique abilities that will certainly offer you an advantage in battle. Besides your unique species and its ability, you have twenty starships to traverse the cosmos and maintain control over the five planets you need to become a certified civilization. As long as you have a ship on a planet, you have control over it, even if your opponent also has ships there and you have to share control. You can deploy these ships to fight in duels, use them as reinforcements, or recall them for a tactical retreat. Just don't lose them to the Warp or allow them to be swallowed by the black void between stars, ultimately being lost forever in space!
