Dead of Winter places players in a relentless environment during a zombie apocalypse. Players attempt to overcome the obstacles the game throws at them each turn through teamwork. However, each player has their own objective that they must complete by the end of the game to win. A traitor may also be found among the players who must sabotage their teammates. Players must pay attention to the behavior of other players and discover the impostor as soon as possible, before it's too late. At the same time, players must collectively find a way to defend themselves against the horde of zombies heading towards them.
