Born in the subterranean drow city of Menzoberranzan, Drizzt Do’Urden was forced to either flee to the surface or face the wrath of the evil drow goddess Lolth. When he reached the surface in Icewind Dale, Drizzt stumbled upon a group of friends: a Dwarf searching for his clan's lost home, along with his adopted human daughter; a fierce yet noble barbarian; and a cunning half-halfling thief. Together, these brave heroes fight against the evil of the Underdark.
The enemies are numerous. The Shadow Dragon that conquered Mithral Hall will not give up its new home easily. Lolth's followers are trying to find and destroy Drizzt, and mercenaries and assassins are also targeting this fugitive dark elf. Worst of all is the balor Errtu; most mortals don't live long after such a demon introduces them to its fiery whip. But Drizzt is not like other mortals...
