This is the story of a small outpost far to the north of the capital, White Oak—a guard struggling to survive the harsh weather and invasions from both known and unknown forces. There, a group of mercenaries will help save this settlement from destruction. Not only will they have to battle the brutal elements, but far more dangerous threats lurk in the relentless cold. There are the Algox, yeti-like cousins of the Inox attacking from the mountains, and the Lurkers who roam the frozen wastes at will. The band of mercenaries must face all these perils and perhaps find a way to make peace with these new races so they can work together against even more sinister forces...
The board game Frosthaven is a standalone adventure set in the Gloomhaven universe, featuring 16 new characters, three new races, more than twenty new enemies, and a massive new campaign spanning 100 scenarios. Characters and items from Gloomhaven can be used in Frosthaven and vice versa.
In addition to the well-known combat mechanics, Frosthaven offers plenty of new things to do outside of battle:

• Mysteries: Numerous puzzles and secrets to solve.
• Seasonal Events: A system of events you must survive through the changing seasons.
