August 2, 1914: the young men of a small French village have gathered in the town square, silently contemplating the General Mobilization Order posted on the doors of the town hall. For several weeks, the rumors had worried the citizens, but the brutality of the news takes everyone by surprise. With no inkling of the hell they are about to plunge into, they promise one another that they will survive and return, no matter what happens. Unfortunately, the reality they are about to face is far worse than even their deepest fears.
The board game The Grizzled: Armistice Edition places you in the role of a soldier facing the cruelty of the First World War and all its major wartime events. The Grizzled: Armistice Edition contains 9 different missions where, starting from the introductory scenario in the training camp, everything that happens carries over and impacts the subsequent steps of the game. This is a cooperative game in which players must make the right decisions and support one another if they hope to eventually return home alive.
