The board game Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island is an adventurous cooperative game for one to four players. Before each game, a scenario is chosen to determine how the story will unfold, meaning that the objective, discoveries, card effects, number of rounds, and even the weather conditions will depend specifically on the selected scenario.
The game places you on a deserted island, where you will play the roles of shipwreck survivors facing challenges such as building a shelter, finding food, fighting wild beasts, and protecting yourselves from weather changes. You will also be forced to build walls around your homes, domesticate animals, and craft weapons and tools from what you find, among many other challenges awaiting you on the island. You decide the direction the game will take and — after several weeks of hard work — what your settlement will look like. Will you manage to uncover the island's secret in the meantime? Will you find pirate treasure or an abandoned village? Will you discover an underground city or a cursed temple at the bottom of a volcano? The answers to these questions lie within hundreds of event cards and hundreds of cards featuring objects and structures that can be used during the game. Take on the role of one of the four crew members (cook, carpenter, explorer, or soldier) and use your skills to help your teammates; deliberate, discuss, and work on the best plan for everyone to follow. Go on a treasure hunt, uncover various secrets, and achieve goals across six different, engaging scenarios.
You will claim victory if you fulfill the objective specified in the chosen scenario. However, be careful — everyone loses if any of the player characters die, or if the objective is not met by the final round.
