A special task force is formed to infiltrate and expose the real Kira hiding within Yotsuba. With the help of new allies like Aiber, a reformed criminal, and Wedy, a skilled hacker, the team places the Yotsuba board under full surveillance.

L sets a trap—a fake TV broadcast featuring a fabricated Kira threat—expecting the true user of the Death Note to respond. Higuchi falls for it.
