The board game War of the Ring: The Card Game is inspired by one of the best-selling and most awarded games, the board game War of the Ring, and allows you to travel directly into the world of The Lord of the Rings and create your own version of the dramatic conflict between the Dark Lord, Sauron, and the Free Peoples of Middle-earth. This game gives you the opportunity to compete in two teams, with each player using a specific and different deck of cards representing the strengths and weaknesses of the various factions involved in the war. The Free Peoples desperately want to complete their quest to destroy the One Ring while simultaneously defending their homeland from Sauron's hordes that threaten to destroy it, as well as from his evil allies. The Shadow players must strike quickly and decisively, before the Ring-bearers complete their mission. Perhaps they can also slowly corrupt Frodo, burdening him with wounds, hardship, and sorrow over the loss of his companions. Will the story change in your adventure, or will everything happen as it is written?
